Web Development

With new technologies and scripts appearing all the time it’s important to keep up with the latest and greatest. We all know HTML5 is taking over and CSS3 does amazing things, especially when paired with Javascript. What people don’t usually realize is that 1/2 of development time is spent on making sure you have browser compatibility all across the board. From FireFox to Internet Explorer, Safari to Chrome, Opera to Konqueror – there are a lot of browsers to keep in mind when developing a website.

To make things easier on yourself it’s best to start with a CSS Reset and make sure you’re using clean, standard-compliant code. Keep your scripting light, keep your CSS clean and simple, and remember to use semantic HTML to minimize your potential for errors / issues and maximize your potential for search engine recognition.
