Graphic Design is where it all started for me, creating something visually stimulating so the intended audience would want to see more. Capturing your audience and telling a story through images and typography rather than a bunch of written words like a novel. From brochures and posters to icons and coasters, there are so many different examples of graphic design in the world today that you can’t turn your head without spotting a new piece.
While I rarely create traditional pieces like posters, brochures, and other printed materials these days I still get to do a lot of graphics work in company logos, custom icons and backgrounds, and various other web-related detail work. Although you can’t control the medium like you can on a printing press, I prefer doing graphics for the web as they are easy to update and offer instant gratification!
