Well folks, I think we should replay the second half of last night’s game. Not replay as in watch the video again – I mean let the players go out there and play it again. No self-respecting Lakers fan is holding their head high right now because of this “win”. This was a gift from the refs and nobody can deny that – if you want to try and deny it I’ll just point out all of the bad calls and “missed” calls that were replayed by ABC and commented on by the announcers. These refs should be suspended and fined at the very least.

Something happened last night in the officiating that damaged basketball forever and it’s clear that the NBA has to do something about it. They should institute a new replay rule for games of this magnitude, just like football, there should be a booth-review of these calls. Someone needs to watch over these refs to ensure that the game is evenly called so this never happens again. This was a blatant slap in the face to all of the real basketball fans out there, regardless of what team you’re cheering for.

Anyone who has watched a game with me knows that I comment on all of the bad calls, even the ones that benefit my team. I’m not complaining about this game as a Celtics fan that lost, yeah it sucks, but when it’s a good game then I’m fine with it. This was not a good game. When the Patriots lost to the Giants I didn’t complain once about the officiating. That was a good game and the Giants made great plays, they won the game. The Lakers did NOT win this game. The Lakers were not even close to being the better team in this game.

I hope you ignorant Lakers fans appreciate the handout you’ve been given and that all of the real basketball fans are doing something to try and stop this from happening again.
