It’s that time again boys and girls, the greatest rivalry in sports is set to take center stage once again this week… Go Celtics! The Lakers are certainly still upset over that painful loss in the 2008 NBA Finals, but with a healthy Celtics team I don’t think there’s much they can do about it. The C’s knocked off LeBron and the Cavs, Howard and the Magic, and now it’s time to get rid of Kobe and the Lakers. This will not be an easy victory, make no mistakes, Pau and Kobe are playing like men possessed and are arguably the best players in the playoffs. But has there ever been any player as possessed as KG? The man has the soul of a demon trapped inside him just waiting to devour another NBA Finals trophy. Add that to one of the best scorers in Paul Pierce, one of the best shooters ever to play the game in Ray Allen, the Rolls Royce Mr. Rajon Rondo, and a host of others that are hungry to win it again and what do you get? You get a healthy Celtics squad that can smother the Lakers with the best defense in the NBA. You get a frustrated Kobe Bryant and an emotionally unstable Pau Gasol. You get a Fisher and Vujacic who can’t get off a solid 3 and a Lamar Odom who can’t rebound their misses. You get Celtics vs Lakers in the NBA Finals for the 12th time – giving the Celtics a chance to win their 10th against the Lakers. This is an epic battle, the greatest in all of sports, and we’re sure to enjoy every minute of it.
